Hey you! Yeah, you! Do you enjoy reading? Then sign up for OBOB!
OBOB (Oregon Battle of the Books) is a school competition where teams of 2-5 students compete in book trivia. There are 16 books that have been chosen for you to read that you’ll be quizzed. The books are available to be checked out from the library, or you can purchase them at Barnes and Noble, or any place where books are sold.
You compete with a group of friends. It certainly makes the competition a lot more fun. Or if you’re having a hard time finding a team, email Ms. Cochran or fill out this form as an individual. Just write down your name as the first team member, then write looking for the rest of the boxes! You have until December 15th to sign up for OBOB. The winning team at school will be entered into the state competition. LOJ has a history of winning OBOB teams, current freshmen Karin Bradshaw, Justice Bills, Olivia Mygrant, Noah Ha, and Josie Weinert won all three years that they were students at LOJ. The battles start on March 5. I hope to see you competing!
